How do I create a gift voucher?

To create a gift voucher you need to click on the Gift Voucher icon.

A pop up window will then display a window with two tabs offering either general codes or specific codes for individual users.

General codes

Using this type of discount voucher implies that the vouchers are not associated with any user in particular. To create a new gift voucher, you need to select New Gift voucher.

In the lower panel you can view vouchers you have created, your current balance and their expiry date.

When creating a New Gift Voucher you can choose between Exclusive Code or Create Multiple Random Codes.

The Exclusive Code creates a code with a set amount and an expiry date that can be used without distinction; the only limits are the amount and the expiry date.

In this example, during the purchase process, any customer entering the code Blackfriday before 01/12/2015 will receive a 15 € discount.

The option Create Multiple Randomized Codes allows you to create a set of vouchers via codes created randomly. These vouchers will have the value and expiry date that you set here.

For Example: if you wish to reward the best 10 customers in your eCommerce store, each of them will be sent an individualized discount code. Anyone who knows this discount code will be able to use it.

To view the randomly created codes, click on the Download link.

Vouchers can be created without a date. This means that they will not expire.

Codes used in an order can be viewed in BackOffice Order Detail.

Can I associate a gift voucher with a particular user?

Yes, go to the tab User Specific Codes and select New Gift Voucher and Create an Individualized Code.

In this example, user Donald James will be allowed a 20 € discount on the total order by entering the code Thank you during the purchasing process, and on all his purchases up to the deadline of 18/01/2019.
